Match 12 – Club Hamper - Elie to Fife Ness
Over high down to an hour before low in calm conditions. With 169 anglers fishing the coast the week before with poor results, the chance of a good days fishing was slim to say the least.

Match 11 – Winter Trophy - Carnoustie - Corby
A very mild day with a slight swell resulting in poor conditions and poor fishing for the 30 or so anglers that turned out. Most bags were taken tucked away in tidal marks.

Match 10 – Kirkcaldy Beach
Flat conditions made fishing difficult and ultimately scratchy over high at the harbour end of Kirkcaldy promenade. Fish were very hard to come by on the night with a newcomer doing particularly well to find enough fish to win on the night.

Ballachulish Tourist Information Centre - Match 8
The highlight of the club fixture list – a days varied fishing. Format for the match was two hours fishing the jetty side using light gear for Pollock, wrasse and codling then switching over to the graveyard side for dogs, rays and whiting for the final two and a half hours. Fantastic weather for a change with little to no rain(not a typing error) and intermittent sunshine.

Burntisland Breakwater - Combined with 5 man team event - Match 7
A clash with the central region 5 man team event meant the only sensible option was to combine both matches that were due to take place on the same day on the same venue. Conditions were good on the day with sunshine and calm conditions suggesting good fishing – this proved deceiving with fish few and far between.
The Club got 1st, 2nd and 3rd for zone 1 and 1st and 2nd for zone 2.

East Fife Conoflex Open - 24/07/11 - Match 6
Our open event every year - good turnout this year with 64 anglers fishing including two juniors. Large ground swell coming in from the north made for difficult summer cod fishing conditions, meaning most of the open ground marks were unfishable or indeed very hard to fish. Most bags came from those who sought shelter along the coastal marks.

Dunbar - Match 5
Combined with the central region tankard and pairs, unfortunately a series of call offs seen the turn out very low for the first time in years. Fishing was to prove a struggle with those catching fish few and fair between.

Elliot Beach - 28/05/11 - Match 4
The match started in perfect conditions with a nice 3 or 4 table surf, plenty of flounders present from the very start with most being under the 18cm size limit. The weather deteriorated towards the end of the match making fishing in the surf harder meaning those fishing had to work to control the speed of the drift to maximise potential to catch fish.

Balmerino Bay - 16/04/11 - Match 3
A cracking day for some fishing along the forest path at balmerino. Perfect weather conditions with a small tide. Lots of flounders with the majority on the small side, suspect this venue would produce very well in September at the tale end of the crab moult.

Riverside Drive - 13/03/11 - Match 2
A big swell on lunan saw us retreat to the city of Dundee to fish the tay estuary. Expected flounders failed to show in any numbers with a rather poor match ensuing. Fortunately the match secretary had went armed with beach buddy so was able to rest in comfort while others suffered in the rain!!

Easthaven - Westhaven 13/02/11 - Match 1
Conditions were almost too big with a large ground swell and plenty of colour in the water. Anglers spread out from the main gulley at westhaven all the way along to the sewage works looking for slightly calmer gulleys.
